The steps to begin using LiveInvestor for Java for accessing all real-time stock quotes on the TSX and TSX Venture/Quantum Exchange are: - Verify that your computer supports the minimum system requirements for LiveInvestor for Java. If it does not meet the minimum requirements, you may suffer a degraded service level. You can look in your computers control panel for the Java icon. It will tell you what versions of the Java framework you have installed on your computer. if you don't have Java installed, you can get it here. www.java.com
- Sign up for a subscription on LiveInvestor.com. In order to logon to LiveInvestor, you must be assigned a client identification number and password.
- Download LiveInvestor for Java software onto your system. By downloading the software, you ensure that the most up-to-date version is on your system. Every time you run the application after downloading, the software will determine whether or not you have the latest version and update itself if needed.
- Logon to LiveInvestor! Once you have the software on your machine, you're ready to go!
Please note that we are in the process of phasing out LiveInvestor for Java and replacing it with an updated version written specifically to address the needs of our clients who have been telling us how we can make this program better. The Java client will continue to be supported well into 2010 however only critical fixes are being provided for this version. Please see Live Investor 2009 for details and information on our brand new version.
